Soundcard X-FI MB (RIIE soundcard) Problem

hello everybody,

iam having a problem with my soundcard that came with my rampage II extreme, and i seem to be stuck at 2/2.1 sound, i tried to plugin my 7.1 creative set, but i have no option changing it, could somebody give me advice on this?

If it has the Sound max blackhawk
Go into it in the start menu load it up
When you have all of the jacks plugged in press the button that is like an on switch. This got my soundcard work on my rampage formula.
If it isn't on then it doesn't do surround sound and it is quite annoying

Dont' forget to install the Creative drivers in order to have access to the Control Panel where you can enable CMSS or Virtual Surround.

i got the creative console, that came with the drivers, but it wont allow me to change to 7.1, it only says 2/2.1

Hmmm, weird, something else is wrong then. Can't do it in Windows Control Panel as well, i assume?

Probably oughta go into speaker settings, and choose the 5.1/7.1 in control panel, and set the speakers up manually. Then go into the creative console and set them up there..

ok did that, and it worked, thanks!

anyway, now somehow my front speakers does not seem to work, but somehow my woofer reacts as a front.
