So there's a CTO and a CIO? The appointments are welcome but let's hope these guys are effective. There is really a lot of inefficiency and waste in government that could be reduced by the smart application of modern tech.

apple has good lobbyist in washington... you see iphones and politicians talking about apple products quite frequently in the last year. so now they even appointed a pro-apple cto... its just a matter of time now until apple is considered an official religion and they get tax exempt status :lol:

Hopefully this cabinet choice by Obama does not follow in the footsteps of most of his other appointees in that many of his guys who now head Treasury were so stupid that they "forgot" to pay large sums in income taxes. Or Leon Pinetta, a clinton confidant with ZERO intelligence experiences gets the job of Director of Intelligence.
Best of all, the large increase in taxes for individuals and companies who earn more than $200,000 per year combined with Kalifornia's huge sales tax hike, property tax hike, etc..... this in effect will drive tens of thousands of Silicon Valley jobs out of the state and perhaps the United States completely.
How on earth is Obama going to "Pay down the national debt to 50% of what it is today" while borrowing trillions of dollars to pay for his socialist health care, pork projects, and inevitable $10,000,000,000,000 national debt by 2019.
When all these great tech companies leave Kalifornia due to crippling new taxes, this state will end up like Michigan in about a decade. Silicon Valley will end up looking like Detroit.
