I was hoping for some actual footage at least :(Considering it's releasing November of this year, we'll see tons in Summer (E3 most likely) plus considering how soon after Cod 4 it's coming, I predict only minor graphical improvements.

I hope not. I bought CoD4 much later than most here, and I wasn't that impressed with the graphical quality. The character models looked fairly good I suppose, but the environments kinda sucked IMO..

wow the teaser reali reminded me of splinter cell lol. hopefully not too much of the specail ops mission. i rather have the gun blazing missions like cod5

It's been about almost two years since Modern Warfare. Once this game releases it will have been over two years. Would you like them to spend 10 years on a game?

That said... I can't wait for this game to come out. It will definitely be better than the buggy COD:WaW from Treyarch.

WaW doesn't strike me as bad :shrug:

But yes Infinity Ward seems to have it down better. I hope that this one allows for the same key to be used offline for LAN games again, that was one thing that I found does not work in WaW. Annoying.

My gosh, the graphics were awesome in COD5. Yes, I know it's the same engine as COD4 but there's even more detail and stuff on the screen. All those trees, and the snipers in the trees.. just awesome. It ran smoothly with 4xAA at 1920x1200 on a single 8800GTX, which is amazing for such lush graphics that is almost as good as Crysis.

Games like FEAR 2, Mass Effect, etc.. look nowhere near as good as COD5. If I try to enable 4xAA for The Witcher @ 1920x1200, it sometimes drops to 20fps which is unacceptable.. and the graphics are nowhere as lush as COD5.. Anyways, my point is that all FPS games should look at least as good as COD5 with all the stuff and details in the environment, and still be able to play as smoothly on current video cards.

I agree, single player story was a little better for COD4 though, felt less like a level to level game. WaW did feel like a level to level game, a very vague story that wasnt entertaining at all, but as far as actual gameplay COD4 and 5 are exactly the same. almost no difference. I actually like COD5 a little better visually being they added in an extra tidbit with the gore, and to be honest i liked the vehicles thing too, and dogs>apache. COD4 shoulda had it.

COD4 was a better game, but COD5 was much the same.

I don't know about Fear 2, but Mass Effect has awesome graphics IMO.. The character detail in particular is fantastic. The default male Shepherd, Nihlus and Saren are the best out of the lot, and look practically photo realistic on the highest settings..

The environments didn't get as much attention though I have to say.

The Witcher uses a tweaked version of the Aurora engine, so it has to overcome a lot when it comes to performance, as that engine is inherently sub optimized..

But, I think the Witcher's graphics are great; not from a purely graphical perspective of course, but from an "art" perspective. I'm sure you'll agree that there are some beautiful vistas in the game ie the dike..

Despite The Witcher's performance issues, it has one of the most immersive gaming Worlds I've ever played in, which is primarily due to it's fantastic score and the great art work..

:yepp: WaW sucked, not worth a CoD-title imho. Even United Offensive was better...

Thank god I saved the money for WaW (I own every other CoD-game though as a UK-import), a fellow student is not so happy that he bought it :rolleyes:

I agree, I noticed WaW looks more detailed than CoD4, it also the human parts can be blown with a good shot! the jungle part is jawdropping!

By other hand for being IW, that teaser sucked bad~ I was dissapointed but at least now I know the launch date...

I don't get it - why all this hate at COD5? It's a brilliant game as was COD4 and 2! I even like the MP better in 5th than 4th (i'm no CS player so it's all TDM to me). Maybe i'm too oldschool but 2nd was the best for MP for me anyways. And of course when it comes down to preferences WW2 setting FTW!

The story was weak, I couldn't identify with any of the protagonists and the weapons sound like toys (not to mention I find it laughable you can shoot the mgs while standing and still hit the targets).

The MP is basically the same like in CoD4. Imho the best MP was CoD1 and I played CoD1 and 2 in the ESL (S&D 5 on 5 and CoD2 TDM 3 on 3 as well). In CoD4 everything was about speed, but I didn't play it in ESL any more (no time due to study).

If you want to pay full price for a mod, fine.

Having been a CoD 4 player since release, WaW greatly disappointed me and i uninstalled it shortly after purchase. (poor storyline, buggy, poor sound, unbalanced mp, too easy to level ect...). I am glad CoD6 is being developed by infinity ward again and in 2 years, alot can change graphically, but if that teaser clip was from sound in-game, it will be nothing short of amazing. For all the negative views of CoD4, selling over 11mil copies sure says something about the reputation of the game.

I mapped and played CoD4 extensively however I did not buy CoD5 after playing the demo which I thought was horrible.

One thing though, I would seriously wait until the game has been released and reviewed by other gamers. By pre-ordering you effectively say to the game companies "we will buy the game in whatever state it is" thus encouraging them to release games that are broken.

Looks twitchy to me, on that mouse sensitivity at least.
An people seem to run a bit to fast. Like they did in ction scenes in late 1930 movies! :D

It's a separate game mode from the campaign. It's a game mode that's made up of two-man SWAT-esque missions, similar to the "Mile High" epilogue at the end of COD4.
