Looking to grab a new monitor.. preferibly 1080p... 24" or higher.. need it for gaming. My current monitor is giving me some issues with gaming and fast movements.. along with its gloss screen. I have 300$ canadian to spend.
Any suggestions?
thanks!

Well, for a cheap screen the Acer 23/24" ones seem okay, they're definitely nothing special but for a cheap TN panel, they look just fine.

Dunno if you can stretch your budget but if you are serious about gaming, there is only one real 24" monitor that is pretty much as good as crts out at the moment and thats the NEC MultiSync 24WMGX3

Whatever you do do NOT buy a HannsG. And, when your done NOT buying a Hanns G report back here so I can send yet ANOTHER email to Hanns showing that the F'ed up when they decided to d|ck with me.
I, single handedly had thier BBB rating down to a D fore several months before they realized it. It was my own fault for turning them on to what I had done. They then subsequently tried to cantact me to straighten out the situation and get their rating back up. They dicked with me and I will cost them sales at ANY opportunity!

Assuming you get the rebate. Acer rebates in Aus are harder to get than doing a wall flip.

I've done a lot of research on 24" monitors.
Noting input lag, ghosting, contrast, color, and any noticeable corona effects.
Here's what I feel are the best affordable (under $400) 24" monitors in this order:
BenQ V2400W
HP Pavilion w2408h
LG Flatron W2452V
Gateway FHD2400(FHD2401)
Acer G24
Samsung 245B
BenQ E2400HD
But don't just take my word for it, decide for yourself.
Some great sites to check out are:
