So, I'm running Vista Ultimate 64bit and have a X-Fi Xtreme Gamer Fatal1ty Professional Series installed.

I understand there is hugh problems and bullcrap with Vista and Creative drivers.

Could someone be kind enough to give me a sum up of anyway to get my sound working?

I'm trying to find them drivers that Daniel K made, but google is not finding them. :(

EDIT: sound working with Daniel K's drivers in all 7 speakers.. now need the console panel working.

EDIT: Installing XP. :D

I have an X-Fi platinum Fatal1ty card along with Vista x64 and I've never had issues with Creative's drivers

Yeah found them last night, didn't test through, I got sound working but Vista sucks too much for me to really deal with it anymore, so switching back to a XP Pro for the time being.

what is the problem you have with basic drivers? I've never had issue with my vista 64 and that audio card... I couldn't be more satisfied at the quality of sound either.

This is how I do creative drivers. I DL latest driver, console launcher and alchemy from creatives site. Install main driver, reboot. Install console launcher, reboot. Install THX console from cd that came with sound card, reboot. Finally install alchemy as I play some older games that alchemy really helps out. After you get everything up and running you can tweak the sound to your liking. Never had one issue with Vista64 and Creative drivers and I play some pretty old games. At this point sounds like you might need a reinstall or at the very least uninstall all your creative crap delete all creative folders on your HD, reboot into safe-mode and run driver sweeper.
