I recently volt modded my 9800 GTX. It seemed fine at about 1.3V but after about 3 hours it went up in flames. http://i306.photobucket.com/albums/nn251/thebluemeanie1/DSC_2092.jpg
I'm wondering if there is any chance of being able to repair it.

First, clean it up to give us a better view of the situation. As long as it looks like the card attended a barbecue, we won't be able to tell you much.
Just that much: Just because it looks bad, doesn't mean that a repair is impossible. The first problem that you'll have, most likely though, is where to get the replacement part(s).

There is a repair part to fix exactly this problem in newegg.com for 179.99

:ROTF: It is almost the price of the card itself.

How did you mod it?
How did you measure the voltage?
Cooling?

I used this mod.http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=75648&d=1207145797
I measured the voltage using one of the SMD capacitors circled in this picture.http://shrani.si/f/2t/Eu/4DFq8Vki/image07.jpg (http://shrani.si/f/2t/Eu/4DFq8Vki/image07.jpg)
The cooling was stock.(probably not such a great idea)

you were measuring the voltage at load correct?

Yes, in the few hours before it burned up the biggest load it ever had was the Vista Basic theme. :(

Card would be in 2D power state when displaying desktop, seems like 1,3 V was your idle voltage :smoke:

If the 2D voltage was 1.3V, I wonder what the 3D voltage would be

That part is de facto the first thing to crap out on G92 board. I had one GT blow this way and I've seen several cards have died this way online.
Too bad fets of that form factor are a major pain to solder. In and out.
With only one soldering iron atleast.
edit:
Wait? It died on desktop, in idle?
Sounds like it was not vmod related. That exact part simply cannot be overvolted to death and in idle it cant choke on current either.
->
I'd take out the mod and RMA.
