my sata port 1 broke on my MB when i was istallin i new HDD instead of taken the cables off i didnt. they are cheaply made ports. they all are kinda loose. but the one bent and when i tryed to bend it back one of the connectors broke. so now im stuck without the new HDD installed cause i beleive port 5 and 6 only work with raid. Would that be covered under the warranty?? if not where can i find a new port that i can solder in. i looked for them but cant find any. Anyone have any idea what they would be called? "sata connector ports"?

Is there any way to get sata port 5 and 6 to work like the others. is there a bios settin or something?

Got a reply from xfx support ticket. they said. you will need to set the board to either AHCI or RAID mode. This will activate the white ports on the board. However, setting the board to AHCI or RAID mode will most likely need you to reinstall windows for the board will work in a completely different way and your current windows installation may freak out due to the change. Thanks, Brian.

Do i do that is bios?? and aslo which one is better?? AHCI or RAID?
