This classified is special version which is non-nf200 version. I just make sure this mobo overclock well before I test VGAs under LN2.

This mobo can go more colder than any mobos,so my cpu can go a little bit higher than ASUS and DFI.

MB: EVGA Classified non-nf200 Version
CPU: Retail Core i7 965
Ram: Adata 2133X 2GBX3
VGA: ASUS GTX295 flash to EVGA bios 740/1621/1250

I know this mobo overclock is the same as nf200 classified and will test VGAs under LN2 soon. :)

I dont know if this been asked before, but I would like to know if the Nf200 has any impact when it comes to overclock (cpu)?

Thanks for the pics andre, just for curiosity, why are you running those nice A DATA Rams without their heatsink?

'Job Done' as usual Andre!

Makes me wonder whats the problem with nf200?Will this version be Crossfire compatible?

no any impact

I remove memory heatsink because these ICs are too hot.

nf200 version lose some performance when you run GTX 295 Quad SLI because too many nf200s on it,but triple sli performance is ok.

I dislkike the NF200 chip but if I had to ablity to buy one without it or have the ablity to disable the chip I'd jump on it in a heartbeat!

This is the one people will want. That's a sick CPU benching at 5GHz + for 06.

I found the same under cold, bootup under cold at least 10-~15 degrees lower than all other boards + you can pretty much bench LN2 all day without the board bugging out.

non-nf200 may be better for air cooled over clockers :)

That is a hell of a CPU clock you got there m8 , and surely beats out lots of ES CPUs

Wow, that's the one I am looking forward to! Great job.
Will it feature the same cooling solution for NB and PWM or is it something else? I am asking cause in your setup pic it's something else, more conventional.

on Intel, retails is just as good or better in general than ES.

Having a real good retail chip makes this board more fun as I learned it month and half ago :D
Good Luck for full LN2 run

Nice to see that there will be a classified board offered without NF-200. I'm interested to see the difference in performance and possibly cost.

Good stuff Andre!

I receive non-heatsink classified. I use my own heatsink on it. I have no idea about retail classified heatsink.

Ok so which one of the two would you recommend and why? Because Im going to be buying a Classified but now I dont know which one is better. I have a 295 but Im just going to use one, when 300 series come out Ill be going SLI then. Which of the two motherboards would give me better preformance? Thanks.

too many nf200s will make 3D performance lose. For non-nf200 VGAs, performance is ok,but for 295s, you will lose some 3D performance because 295 also has nf200 chip.

Not bad at all Andre... ;)

One question though...How do you explain that your friend has at LOWER frequency than you on 2k5 and he gets OVER 47000 marks and you just can't pass 44000 marks?.... That's almost 3000 marks MORE than you.... Thanks... :)

B0 and D0 problems. Some cpus can go bug high for 05. The same as fugger's 975 D0. It's not mobo and vga's problem.

You mean that you are buged low in 2k5 or that your friend is buged high?...

Some people have suggested Vinces score was bugged low too.

Thats kinda funny....how often do you expect to hear that in a lifetime? :D

The WR score...bugged low :p: :p:

I think it's not a bug. Intel has change something to make some cpus 3D05 so higher, but you need to find what cpus can do it ,such as 3D03 has 4870X2 bug high cards.

You are saying current top3 3dmark05 results in FM HOF with core i7 are bugged?

If some reatil D0 can do it ithe future, we couldn't say it's a bug

That puts some things in perspective, I wonder if there's someone WHO can tell us more about this oddity.

vince's score is too low, the guy 100 points was running a stock 4870x2 and same cpu clocks, vince was on 1050 on 295 which is INSANE, his score should be much much higher, like his 06

that is a bit hard to understand for people like me , if you can actually see higher fps during the runs why not make it for all benchmarks :confused:

Good question....Maybe Intel has puted into their new CPUs the whole 2k5 benchmark and the CPU runs it from itself without hickups/latencies or so....
Why not the other benches too?.....How big do you think that the L3 of the i7 is, that it could fit all the others too?... :D
On E0 stepping, they will put in 2k6 and so on.... :D :p:

There is some weirdness going on in 2k5 that I haven't been able to explain myself yet. There are "high" scores and "low" scores in 2k5 similar to 2k3 situation. "Jiggaboost" is the term we use to reference these high 05' scores. You can spot them cuz the gt1 and gt2 are quite higher than on slower runs. Which runs are right...slower or faster? Dont know yet. First I thought it was mobo specific issue as most guys getting it were on the jigabyte x58, but then someone got it on an evga mobo so that went out the window. Could be 4870x2 variation situation or maybe some problem with the nehalem chips. Or it could be an OS tweak that is doing it, really have no idea.
