I'm at 20,650 3Dmarks on a 5900U, but am having hell getting any higher
It seems like overclocking my video card hasn't been a lot of help at all, I'm at 600/960 but I got right under 20K at stock speed. My CPU is a 2400+ at 2.6Ghz, is it time for a CPU speed upgrade?
Thanks

2.6ghz on a 32-bit amd is fine for everyday use. You can probably run every game fine. As for maxxing out the performance of your video card itd be best, obviously, to get a p4ee or athlon 64, both of which will run you into the thousands of dollars.

I was thinking about getting a prometia and waiting for the price of the P4EE and Athlon64 to do down to the point were I wouldnt cry (as much) if I broke it.
prommies rock :D
it doesnt worth it so much for a p4ee,but its only my opinion
Get a prommy and get 3Ghz out of that 2400+

Thats what I was thinking, getting a prometia and getting what I can out of what I got. Then a P4C800 and cheap cpu, then upgrading to the P4EE when the price is right.

It is my CPU holding me back for sure, I'm clocking up 70Mhz with a higher FSB and already went from 20,780 to 21124
