Ok, I don't know what happened, but my via aqua 1300 is dying on me I think. For one, I got the pump/res combo thing...and it sucks. The little clips that hold the res to it are broken. So I have to rely on the rubber gasket and a hell of a lot of silicon sealant to keep it from coming off. And I'm afraid to turn off my pump, because it doesn't turn on consistantly anymore! I dunno what it is, but I gotta wiggle it, and fiddle and then it finally goes...So I need a new one. I have a Criticool Waterplant I plan to use as a res, so I was thinkin' maybe the Eheim(sp?) 1250...Hows that for a good pump?

Try the new Swiftech pump that's mentioned in OPPs new review on the home page. Looks like a strong, high pressure unit. www.swiftech.com/

Yep, swiftnets.com . The pump is really neat, because compared to other pumps, it has a lower unrestricted flow, but much better performance under restrictions. So you can keep adding stuff to the loop and the flow stays pretty much the same.

Well, I just looked at my money situation here...I went and ordered another VA 1300...:( Not to say it is a bad pump, but I regret buying the pump/res combo. The Eheim and the Swifty were beyond my limit for now...So I picked up another via. But this time I'm getting it fro Xiode and they give you all the little do dads that come with it. So now I just have to find a place to mount my waterplant...

I posted this in a thread yesterday when this pump was brought up. It is a good pump however when I had a Maxtor 120GB IDE drive hooked up to the first molex connector, the MCP600 hooked up to the second and, the smaller(floppy like) connector plugged into my Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Plat. ex the pump would work but, the hdd would not power up. I then unconnected the pump. There was a line running out of my Antec Truepower 430 which had three large molex connectors that were unused. I hooked the pump up to one of those connectors and ran a Vantec HDC-502A dual fan hdd cooler to one of the other connectors on the line. Now all of the items get power. I have never encountered an issue like this before. I have not tried to hook any other items up to the line with the pump besides those listed above.
