View Full Version : I want to Join the Team but need help with two more Parts!
First is the MOBO,
I like the Max3 package but the voltage problem is having me staying away.
P4c800-e is cheaper then max3 and heard it's reliable and stable.
and Video Card, AIW 9800 pro, or just 9800 Pro.
Or should I just get another video capture card with my 9800 pro alone.
My rig is in my sig.
Help a brother out, so I can join this 3d madness!

Itd be better to get a tv tuner seperately. ATI makes pretty poor ones, and it may have adverse performance in games. Id go with a Leadtek TV Tuner 2000XP which runs about $40 and a 128mb 9800 pro.
As for the mobo, its really up to you. When the Max III works it is the best mobo out there but the asus is much more reliable.

I have the P4c800-e...best thing going imo. ;)
And this is from someone who has a stack of Abit boxes in the garage.:D
max3 has great cooling...

Im quite pleased with my 9800se AIW, the TV quality is pretty good IMO.
Although my 9800pro clocks quite a bit faster..

"Great Cooling" can be added to a P4C-800, personally I dont think its great cooling. The P4C is the better board.
