hi
my name is soheil from iran . please help me
i have one ax78 mainboard and one Giga M56 S-s3
m56 giga is ok but ax78 ABIT some problem
AX78 and ABIT EQ show Cpu temperature 50c in idle time !!!! but Giga 40c

please send a new bios

the "cpu" temp on the ax78 is havily influenced by the pwm temperature, as its reading form an onboard diode, i expect the asus simply has the mb diode further from any heat sources.
best to read the cpu core diode on the ax78, and its worth attaching a fan to the pwm heatsink.

if the cpu core diode temps are also high even after cooling the pwm it would be worth checking to make sure that your heatsink isnt being held up slightly by any board component.

Don't worry, your temps are fine.

CoreTemp is giving you the correct CPU temperatures (as is Everest under the CPU #1 entry). The "CPU" entry in Everest and the CPU entry in the Abit utility are not actually referring to the CPU core temperature. As said above, these are reading the temperature off a diode on the motherboard, close to the CPU socket, and not from the CPU itself.
