Hello all,
my first try with this chip + mobo:

I have no idea about overclocking Intel :p so any comments if it looks good are welcome.
Testing was only 10 minutes.

Not bad, what cooler are you using?

Hello,
I use water ( apogee GTZ ), and I am a "bit" worried with the two cores being 2-3 degs lower. Maybe windows uses the first two cores for maintainance and prime is not a tru "100%" load test.
I increased the volts a bit to 1.296v idle (goes 1.268v under load) and tested again with prime for 15minutes @ 3.8 Ghz - 20x190.
I will try further :)

good tip : get off the 20 multi and use an Odd one : you can use lower Vcore then to stabilise ya OC !

You need to use 8 instances to test your cpu 100%. Use this prime,

On Intel cpus there is usually a variation on the cores, plus software temp programs aren't exact either (tho pretty damn good). Here's a good DFI Thread (http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=212480) if you want to do some reading.

Thanks for the links and tips. Yeah, I have been reading about the multi problems.
I am now trying to learn the DFI bios so I can tweak it according to the guides.
My goal is 4Ghz, anything more will be an extra. Ofcouse if much volts are needed to go beyond 4Ghz I ll stop there.
I hope I get 4Ghz out of it :D
