Does anybody knows whether they 'll be released soon, or to get KHX3200 instead waiting for the BH-4 ?

I wish it would hurry up and be on some affordable ram..... my XMS has been on RMA for over 3 months (?) and the post office is only just finally doing the claims request.....

But they don't seem to be much better than BH-5. 230MHz 2.0-2-5-2 @ 2.91V

lol, they dont need to be much better... BH-5 is still the best memory around, if only they would actually PRODUCE some more i would be happy already. If it gets a bit better thats just a bonus

I would still prefer they be much faster. :D :P

A bit better? The difference between 5ns and 4ns is 200mhz vs 250mhz, both at 2-2-2-5.

"No word yet" means "no time soon" :D

Sorry, not, but there may have been some talk of re-issuing a new run of BH-5 at winbond.
and ill say it again. WHY THE HELL did they stop making BH5 when they must have known (and have definately known for well over 6 months now) that ch5 were not as good.
and yeah to be honest even if bh4 overclocked exactly the same as bh5, people are going to be happy because its still the best, and still the only memory you can get good timings from at a decent speed. the problem is we arent going to get any of it any time soon and if it isnt soon as may as well just wait for ddr2.

ch5 = cheaper to manufacture. OEM's = biggest source of income.

Exactly. Look on newegg at the difference in price between KHX3200/256 and KHX3200/256A. The A (CH5) is quite a bit cheaper when you add up several sticks.
Also, according to Anandtech, Winbond has already restarted production of BH5, and that is where OCZ got these ICs.

OCZ said they got ahold of an old batch. That's why their PC3500 Platinum is a Limited-Edition run, they arn't receiving new shipments from Winbond. I doubt Winbond would reconfigure back to BH-5 chip, noting how much it would cost them and the benefit just isn't there.

I'll kick myself if it releases soon. I've purchased Mushkin Lvl 2 black PC3500. Not cheap, so I'll be liveing with it for a while. I figure I'll pass it along to my older system when I can afford something faster.
Anything faster will go in the new rig, older one will need new motherboard upgrade just to get full advantage of the PC3500.

You will probably be fine. At any rate, OCZ memory is always really expensive. Although they do have the best PCB.....240 2-2-2-5 at only 3.0v is impressive......:D

Can anyone post a link to where this BH 4 pre release sample was tested?
Thanks

DDR500 2-2-2-5 looks to be quite amazing!
That'll be my next upgrade for sure...

I wouldn't hold your breath for that. It is unlikely anytime soon.
