Interesting new products, but now might not be the best time to launch a luxury line with the economy in the trash.

Thermaltake and Luxury on the same sentence?!

I agree that sounds a bit funny :D...and they might be aware of that themselves, therefore the "Luxa" branding ;) Lian-Li doesn't need to do such things for instance...

Maybe the price won't be so high, though i doubt it.
Besides, even if there is so called financial crysis, there will always be ppl who buy this kind of stuff.

Oh, a luxurious microwave and a robo-laptop that will try to kill you in your sleep. I wish I could bring myself to believe that TT still remembers what quality means.

i bet that laptop stand can cool your laptop to extreme subambient temps! man, those guys at Tt really know what they're doing when it comes to balancing product design and functionality.

I like the look of that chassis, but man just about every word on that webpage is hard to read. "Creating [a] unique lifestyle for different segments like [here I puke]" and such... just gross. I'm pretty sure I've never seen Cartier partake in such ridiculous self-fellatio as the website either (it's almost like real luxury brands don't need to keep using the word "luxury" because they let the price tag and design speak for themselves).

But marketing aside, I'll call it positive. Any time a company makes a line dedicated to looking after the details - big and small - it's positive. Lets just hope that they actually know what they're doing and it isn't all just smoke rings up an overpaying consumers... well, you know.

just a few thoughts...I also believe that in terms of design and quality, Thermaltake know exactly what they do. Don't think because they're into huge mainstream stuff that they can't find the best designers, bring them a concept (or vice versa), and produce those luxury things. Also whether you like their cases or not (I personaly don't), you have to admit nothing looks like Thermaltake.

Thermaltake and luxury products?

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Sorry, but you don't buy a luxury product if it is made by a company known to produce cheap rubbish.

That would be like buying a Bentley made by Lada.....

That would be like buying a Bentley made by Lada.....

1. Try starting a Bentley in minus 30 degrees centigrade in the middle of a snow storm and you will quickly find that your hand-sewn alcantara seats may be comfortable but not very warm when you've spent the night in your 300,000 Dollar status symbol.

2. Do you think that most people buy a computer case from a certain company because it increases the size of their e-penis or because of how it looks and functions? I can't stand people that are against something out of principle.

3. H&M is known to have cheaper clothing with adequate but not excellent quality. They've recently started hiring famous designers and have started selling higher priced designer clothing, with success. IKEA has done the same thing, you'll find that their Stockholm series is priced much higher than their usual products and they're also successful.

If these products are shown to be well made, I couldn't care less who's name I read on the front of it. This isn't designer clothing or expensive cars that we're talking about here, these are computer accessories. The people who feel good about themselves when they can moan about Thermaltake on the internet are the saddest people on earth and need to get laid.

*snip*

any company advertising sub-ambient air coolers, and produce a phase change product that can't even hold kentsfield deserves to be crucified like this.

we're screaming so they might change something.

So maybe they are starting to change.... so give them a chance before crucifying them over this before they've even released anything yet. They may actually churn out some good stuff.

bwahahaha, look at the bs they are spewing out, its awful...

LUXA2, a Division of Thermaltake, was created in 2009, with characteristics of simplicity, luxury, and unique lifestyle. The core design theory of LUXA2 start from simple shapes blending with luxury elements, which create the unique lifestyle for different segments within the society such as Creative Pro, Mobile Blogger, Leisure Seeker, Hip Newbie and Entertainment junkie .

LUXA2 represent an emerging trend of "individuality"in the world; people are not only in need of functions, but also aesthetic appeal. This is what LUXA2 has achieved. Exquisite craftsmanship with aesthetic and elegant design style is a promise and a commitment from LUXA2. Thus, the Simplicity, Luxury, Lifestyle of LUXA2 creates a Uniquely You.

I mean seriously, WOW, think of all the hipster fags they are trying to appeal to. Its indescribable how much i hate these types of ppl, that sit around thinking they are the most intelligent ppl born to the face of this planet, they all go drink coffee at starbucks and get :banana::banana::banana: degrees from colleges that do nothing to better society in any way shape or form. God i hate them, they are the definition of worthless. /rant

Edit: O and instead of their products being called products on their web page, they are called "Collections" like they are pieces of artwork or something. Stupid TT

What you see there is marketing. If it doesn't appeal to you, don't buy the product. But do yourself a favour and listen to Sparky before you run around like an angry peasant with a pitchfork.

You're once again not hating the product, you're hating the company. What does the description of the product have to do with the product itself? They may have over-done it a little but you're coming over as the type of person that simply didn't grow up in an environment where such products are normal.

And one more thing, properly ambitious people don't go to Starbucks.

The company does indeed produce a lot of sub-par products, and copious amounts of unreadably entertaining literature for said products, but none-the-less they have brought us the TT Armour and some decent fans. That and a hearty amount of good laughs.
Let them spend money on a dead-end product line. Maybe they'll learn a thing or two.

That would be like buying a Bentley made by Lada.....How about a Bentley made by Skoda or SEAT? oh, hang on, they are both VAG, so is Lamborghini, brand is a matter of perception.

Back on topic, the last Thermaltake product I recommended that we supply was the Armour LCS (chassis with watercooling kit). It did it's job admirably, by allowing us to create a PC that got several awards (at least two Fastest Ever) and a TV slot (http://fwd.five.tv/gadgets/computing/desktops/cyberpower-liquid-gamer-infinity-sli). In doing so it allowed us to rapidly move from AseTek LCLCs to full blown multi-loop custom water cooled PCs.

Yes I do find ThermalTake's version of 'Engrish' amusing and at times unintelligible but the cynic in me thinks that this has been recognised by TT and is now an integral part of their marketing stwaterji.

Check it out:
The Laptop Cooler has:
Dual Heat Pipes:
With dual heat-pipe integrated, M1-Pro enhances superior heat dissipation by providing direct heat conduction path between laptop’s bottom casing and M1-Pro’s aluminum surface. M1-Pro is a silent thermal solution that offers user a very comfortable computing experience.

Durable Aluminium:
With the benefit of corrosive resistant and shiny appearance, M1-Pro is always a focus. To ensure the perfection on every surface, brushed finish process is carefully applied on M1-Pro.

Diamonds:
http://www.luxa2.com/products/laptopcooler/m1-pro/images/design-4.jpg
As the world’s leading manufacturer of crystal, Swarovski combines the most advanced industrial technologies with the exigency of the master craftsman. With the beautifully crafted objects, M1-Pro has re-enchanted its beauty.

And plenty of trademark 'TT Engrish'

If I had diamond in my PC I'd prefer to use it in a water block.

Armor was nice.
Big Typhoon was fine.
Old Xaser's were nice.
Element S looks like something cool.

I'll give them a chance and hate them AFTER this series go out.
