Hi guys, after almost three years I restarted building units in Brazil, yesterday I built this unit using a Aspera 1/2hp r404a compressor, Kayl evap and flex tube rebrazed by me, Emerson 0,3kW AEV, copper spun filter, 1/8" tube after AEV, Suction 5/8" liquid line 1/4" SLHX.
Pressure tested 250psi Nitrogen.
only needed finishing vacuuming and putting some r507 in..
Enjoy pics, comments and suggestion needed.

What is an AEV? Looks like a constant pressure valve?

You better regulate your fuel flow. Not very smart to use a piercing valve to control the flow of your gas, especially without flashback arresters.

In fact, I do have flashback arrestors, and that mounting was just the first time using the torch because the GLP gas regulator wasn't on shop yet, will remove this picture
AEV is an automatic expansion valve, the r507 flow will be regulated by the valve.
Nice work .
edit - runmc - even though you may have been j/k don't do that-

The system will be evacuated this week and charged with R507, hopefully I'll bring some good results.

A little bit of reading helped me to answer my question. AEV = CPEV(constant pressure expansion valve). Not the best expansion device but a step above capillary tubing

Hey thank ya, i would like to see pics of your units too send me then when possible.
I payed about R$100 in this valve, something like US$40-45, it's a Emerson AEV with 0,3kW noozle.
