Well maybe I just got unlucky, but when I first started overclocking my Barton 2500+ I needed to bump Vcore to 1.7V just to get it stable at 220x8 from 215x8 (stable at 1.65V). By stable, I mean not erroring in prime95 within 10 minutes. At these low CPU speeds, I'd have thought that I could achieve a much higher FSB, and I don't think my NB/RAM can be limiting me considering the NB is C1, the RAM is DDR 466 and it needed a Vcore bump to stabilise it. It's a 'Y' chip BTW, 0335 SPMW, and the 69th core from the middle of the wafer. Thanks for any tips or advice.

you mean you need more vcore to get your chip to run a higher fsb at the same clockspeed?

oh welcome to xtremesystems btw :toast:

Well, 8x220 ~ 1.76 GHz, I just thought that with the default clock of 1.83 GHz and default Vcore of 1.65V that I would hopefully avoid a bump in Vcore until I got past at least 2 GHz. Oh well...
