Has anyone played any games on Windows 7? I need to know how its doing with games. If it doesn't work with any games... I may need an OEM of vista. :(
The first game I want to play on Win7 is Crysis.

crysis wont work it uses securom and securom dosnt work in win7, since its a root kit and windows is all about anti root kit this time around
unless they patched it recently

relax.. it's not even supported yet, you aren't going to get any solid information yet.

The demo works but they probably don't have near the copy protection on it.

Yeah, it's definitely premature for Windows 7 especially with gaming. If you want to be on the bleeding edge then be prepared to bleed often!!

Which is why you use a no-cd patch.
Or will it not even let you install? If so, copy all the files with another computer and transfer them over, run the install from the HDD.

I`m using windows 7 beta build 7000 64Bit,it played all my games/Apps.
Some problems occurred with Crysis on 64Bit,But it played nicely after switching the compatibility mode to Vista.
I can help you if you give me a list of specific games that you want to play.

I've just spent most of the weekend playing CoH:OF and the Battle of the Bulge Mod. I did BSOD twice (Stop: 0X00000124) but that could have just been the mod or even the custom map (4p_Thor Harbour)

This is a good topic because I really want to install windows 7 beta as a primary os when I start my build. I personally do not like vista at all. And xp is nice, but it doesn't support anything past 3gigs of ram or dx10. Personally I am a gamer and an overclocker. I'm about to do the build in my sig soon so I'm very interested in windows 7.
Whats vista compatibility mode? I'm really curious because I plain to install crysis, fear 2, and a few other games as well.
