I'm after a fairly cheap 1080p panel, preferably with HDMI (may consider a monitor without it, but only for a very good reason). The E2200HD seems to fit the bill quite nicely.
Does anyone know of any reason why I should avoid this monitor?
Recommendations for alternatives are welcome.

its a 59hrz TV and not real monitor and has problems in 3d mode with most graphics cards with hdcp wince it cant drop frames to do 59 when its registered as 60 with hdcp enabled

This monitor is Ace, i have used both this and own the larger Brother the E2400HD, both are excellent, no ghosting from what i've seen. The E2200HD has less bleed than the 24" version and i give my thumbs up.

What about the Samsung 2233SW? Is it a better monitor?

No, the 2233SW is another 16:9 job, resolving full 1080p.
