Title. Specifically for Vista. Are creative drivers finally not a running joke?

Not really, they're a little less buggy but still lacking in most of the features the XP drivers have

they are still better than every1 else with a real card for open AL in vista. im hopping that win7 will be better with the audio stack

this latest vista/xfi set released Dec 17,2008 has fix my issue of the sound dropping to a reduced volume state at random times in vista x64 with two different asus workstation boards(975 and now x38)
never had the problem with 2 different abit mother boards and the xfi,one an an8-sli nvida chipset and this p35 pro

creative .... used to be a brand everyone awes .. now even some cheap no-name brand rivals them .. shame

I never had a problem with their cards since mid 08, and I sell like 3 a week...

And what "most" of the features are you talking about?
I think we should get another thread, named "Have people finally got their act together concerning Creative?".
And although Creative's drivers have been quite decent for two years, unfortunately the answer is no.
This post I quoted is just another proof that the Internet's Hive Mind can generate long term prejudices.. Dangerous thing.

Kind of sad isn't it? Other companies even sends out professional Creative Bashers pretending to be regular unbiased posters or Fair reviewers:rofl: No one shipping *hardware has perfect drivers and had problems from time to time. Merely shipping sound Conduits isn't the same as shipping full Bus mastering or even Native PCI-E Hardware sound cards.

Vista was the bigger Joke than Creative.:up: I'm now using Vista 64bit and a Prelude with no problems. Vista32bit MCE with a X-Fi Platinum with no problems.
