make a long story short i had my main rig set up running great around a year ago. i used a phase chance unit that wasnt able to keep up with the heat from the cpu, mb got fried and a year later i finally have funds to get this one back running right. as of right now i have a q6600 cpu, 500 watt psu, 8800 ultra. im in need of a new mb, ram and water block. im going back to water. ive been out the loop for the past year so im kinda lost as to what are the top things out now. im really liking what im reading on the rampage extreme. ram is being my biggest problem atm. i know the psu could use an upgrade and it will soon but for now what do you guys think i should pair the q6600 and 8800 ulta with? i would like to get a water block for the 8800 aslo to go with the one for the cpu.
im looking for max stable over clock with this one. i know i will more than likely go over the 700$ budget but the goal is to get the cpu, video card, and ram at max stable on water. those dominator gt's are looking very nice for ram but i cant wait forever.

I couldn't tell you what to do about motherboard, I've never owned an Intel chipset board. I can tell you rather water cooling that 8800, you could could just spend a bit more on an Nvidia GTX200 series or ATi 4000 series, and see greater returns on your investment. The cheapest waterblock I saw was 70usd, without shipping.

Here's the current cheapest model of the newer EVGA 200-series:

If that's too much, then ATi has something that's very near the 260 in performance for less:

Check eBay to see what they're going for.

I say ~$100-150 would be reasonable. Closest card in performance would be the HD4850.
