My keyboard has been acting really weird I initially thought it was a virus but this is apparently not the case (http://discussions.virtualdr.com/showthread.php?p=1264806#post1264806).

I use Vista 64 bit and my keyboard is Microsoft Natural Ergonomic Keyboard

The issue:

The key '[' gets spammed constantly. This happens irrespective of whether the keyboard is plugged in or not. The keyboard in fact works fine in the BIOS where I checked that there is no repetition of [[[[[[[[[[[ and I can type any text. I also tested the keyboard on my laptop and it worked fine. Please note that I have been running this configuration since just after Christmas without any issues whatsoever. I even managed to finish a couple of games. The issue is manifest from the log-in screen making conventional typing of the password impossible!

It took me at least an hour and a half to actually log in, which I finally achieved by using the on-screen keyboard and checking FilterKeys.

Any ideas?

Check your motherboard caps. One of the signs of a bad cap is erratic keyboards.
