hey sdumper you need to double check your post mate

1) you can get banned for posting f/s here :(

2) what size are the tanks?

3) you said you got three but only need 2 so your selling 3?

We pay ~ 90€ for refrigerant and ~ 30€ on the bottle here + 20% tax -> ~ 145-150€ per 10.7kg bottle. It seems you got pretty good deal :P

That's a very good deal indeed seeing as I paid $180 for my 20lb cylinder

Just curious: Where exactly did you find such a good deal?

Yes that is a good deal, but I would not make a habit of buying/selling refrigerant if you do not have an EPA sec 608 license. it can cost you $10,000 USD if you get busted :(

Whoa yeah. Its not very expensive to get a license. You can go through epatest.com and the test costs 25 bucks. Its EPA recognized, as in listed on the epa's website. The manual comes with the bloody program. You can do the open book and score the necessary 21 out of 25 very easily after the practice tests.

Just get a Section 608 type I. With that, you can still purchase all the refrigerant you need. And since these suckers contain less than 5 lbs of refrigerant they would fall under the small appliance category and you wouldn't need to worry about having to register any equipment. (Not meaning you can vent ) :-p

Of course this is all irrelevant if you have a license. :-p

You can get the type 1 for free, but at this time it's not needed for 507 anyway.

R-134a, R-507, R410a, and R404a "do not" require EPA certification to purchase at this time.

This is quoted from the site where I buy a lot of misc parts, you can check it yourself on the epa site, I checked it myself because all the "experts" said you had to have it. ;)

Nice deal sdumper... you can find it on Ebay from $50-$100 for 25lb bottle most of the time. I got my last one for around $70 shipped.

Yea I got suckered into that bs too, and later found out you cant do $hit with a 608 Type 1

Technicians receiving a passing grade on the Type I (small appliance) examination are certified to recover refrigerant during the maintenance, service or repair of packaged terminal air conditioners with 5 pounds or less or refrigerant.
BUT

Technicians receiving a passing grade on the Type II (high-pressure and very high pressure) examination are certified to recover refrigerant during the maintenance, service or repair of high-pressure equipment (Medium-Pressure R-12, R-114, R-134a, R-401A, and R-500; High-Pressure R-22, R-402A, R-402B, R-404A, R-407A, R-407B, R-407C, R-410A and R-502; and Very-High-Pressure R-13, R-23, and R-503)
Most stupidass waste of $25 i ever spent.

Uhh.... $50-100?
All the ones i have seen have been going for $150+
But idk, my friend says the prices fluxuate A LOT due to demand. So during summer all the R22, R410a, R*** whatever prices skyrocket because everyone wants a cool house. So idk, maybe this is a bad time of year to buy.

Show me the publication that says you don't need a license to purchase 507. I haven't seen it.

The places that I've been looking for refrigerant don't list 507 as "not" requiring a license.

I have never seen an "Official" document stating R-507 does not need a license to purchase either, but word on the street says you dont need one.

Considering this business is still running/hasn't been sued or fined yet, I'd say you dont need a license.

You need a license to use R 507 but not to buy for resale.
I honestly dont see what the big deal is so long as you dont vent.

the big deal is not omg hes buying refrigerant, but if some douche bag comes through here he can get the illegal buyer fined big time. its not a big deal to us its a big deal to the gov

True. Still, not like a type II is all that much more difficult to get.
