http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k262/evocarlos/water%20cooled/evocade%20rev2/Image004.jpg

and thanks to baz for the 1/2" pipe finnaly finished the hx with modded txv (untested yet)
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k262/evocarlos/water%20cooled/evocade%20rev2/Image007.jpg

i just modded the base to fit the sanyo
cut the base and silversolderd on some bolt stub
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k262/evocarlos/water%20cooled/evocade%20rev2/Image010.jpg

it fits there nice and the oil sep fits between the to comps still :)
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k262/evocarlos/water%20cooled/evocade%20rev2/Image009.jpg

got rid of that huge accumilator only benifit was it looked good
but it took way to much gas to get it to work right so i came up with this
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k262/evocarlos/water%20cooled/evocade%20rev2/Image012.jpg

shot from above with the 2 comps and oil sep in place
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k262/evocarlos/water%20cooled/evocade%20rev2/Image013.jpg

filter ! thats it lol
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k262/evocarlos/water%20cooled/evocade%20rev2/Image014.jpg

started to make the suction/retun line but felt i'll so came back in

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k262/evocarlos/water%20cooled/evocade%20rev2/Image030.jpg

the txv bulb charge was @ 7bar but found it would not work well put it down to 2 bar and saw lower temps
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k262/evocarlos/water%20cooled/evocade%20rev2/Image031.jpg

the coil for the expantion tank was a bit wobbly as it had been used before so would not bend right
http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k262/evocarlos/water%20cooled/evocade%20rev2/Image063.jpg

ahh just a couple of things i can do need to drill a hole in the hiside pipe to get a take off for pressure cut off and hiside mano
i might as well install the sution line and hotgas bypass and cap tube

Are you absolutely sure that that HX is leak free?

I don't like the fact that there have been a flame directly on the plates. That could have ruined the braze between the plates.

had to cut the yellow plastic liner off but it rated @ "Maximum working 70 - bar, burst pressure - 280 bar" best £30 ive spent

I think that also happens in lengthy suction lines? I remember a tech mentioning something about waves of oil bashing the compressors? Not positive but definitely not a fun sounding experience.

Not a bad way to go about doing things. I've considered the same route but I opted for brazing up my own lines instead. That however is much cleaner with the braided steel, I was never able to do it cleanly. Looking forward to seeing this up and running

thanks quintus:)

also that link describes it as when a valve is shut down the line creating a pressure build up on the joint causing the fitting/joints to break

to my defence
this will not be applicable to this joint.
the system has already been pressure tested to over 25bar if there was a problem with the joint it would of burst during this test and the system has been run for about 4hours real time now with no sign of immediate problems also there is no shut off valve in the 1st stage apart from the txv that has mop and is never shut fully :)(and 55% silver solder on all the joints)

lol it may get change'd just for you tho quintus :) ive got to recover the 1st stage to do the modifcation to the condencer, there is a thread that no has replyed to lol so i,m gona make the changes anyway

well i was trying to get a company to make one but the costs were outragious
a 4ft long 3/8" line with 1/2" 50mm tails was £109 :shocked::shocked::shocked:

this is an lpg huckup of a traler/caravan
4ft long 1/2" line with some 1/2" bsp fittings all tig welded and ready to run £29 not includeding the shipping
:)
not long now going to do some work on it to night i plan to move the hx and mod the condencer and fit shut of valves to the captube sution line so it will be easy to change the captube lenth simmler to what baz did on cascade6 :)
i hope i did not patent it lol

3 1/4" pipes in to 5/8" pipe reduced to 1/2"then 3/8" :) the joy i've had to Anneal the 5/8 to get it to form the right shape thats why its black in the image :)

hey gomeler
not sure yet need to make sure i can get it all in the 2 hx's come close to the oil sep and the comp is close to the oil sep but i will need to fit a dsh (old vapo xe condencer) also

but the gas will be anything i can get my hands on for cheap lol :)

You live in the UK correct? There are a few cascade builders out there, I'm sure one wouldn't mind parting with a little R14 in exchange for cash.

yep im in the uk :)
i'll have to ask but you might be right
theres other ways to get the temps but it means combing gasses :(

EvoCarlos
02-20-2009, 02:08 PM
change of plan's due to not having any gas to put in a 3rd stage and found a big problem with the 4way valve that will cause issues as its only rated @-20 and the way it was piped in it would see some near -80c temps so have removed it (will have to send dave his pid back gutted!) but the changes are all good

so its a 2 stager again lol (for now)

right first problem solved as i only have one cap tube going to the evap now i had to move the hot gas further back in to the system.
As you can see there's a strainer from the oil sep to the hx filtering any crap and a bit of a make shift inline acc - then the hot gas goes in before the filter but after the hx, this will be slower to respond but will do the same job as it has to clear the cap tube of liqued and so on.....

did most of the finishing up today
i found out the fan blade that i bought a while back was a anticlockwize fan and the motor runs clockwize so it was pushing the air out of the case (not blowing on the comps)i try'd to run the motor in reivese but it just overheated so rich picked me up a new clockwize fan blade and boy it works well now :)

and 2nd stage is floped need to swap the comp for another one i think is just got to hot and caused some damage not sure on the oil content of the comp but it dont sound healty :(

anywho

doublebarrel wiring 1st and 2nd stage caps and fan cap with all switches wired in a nice little package all tested and working i have got to swap 2 wires on the back of the switchs as the 2nd stage can be started on its own atm so need to make it so it will only start after the 1st is on

i´ve bought a 8 pin speakon plug but with 30€ they are realy expensive :D
so for power suply i would use a normal connector (the one we know from computer power supplys)

well, maybe i should also switch to the speakon plug for the power :D

Very nice wiring it can be such a pain to try and fit all the wiring into cramped boxes like that. Well done!!

the plug i have use is made by the same people but its made of mains voltage :) some info here (http://www.canford.co.uk/ProductResources/ig/1897.pdf)

yeah you´re right.
i thougt they are both called speakon. but the speakon are for use in the hifi segment and the power-con are used for power.

the power-con is a very good looking idea.

thanks for the pdf ;)
