View Full Version : Sooo Flash sucks anyones else browsers crashing a lot?

So I got sick of flash crashing IE so I've been using firefox without flash but got sick of it so I installed it. Now that I did not the browser is being all flakey and crashing now too. Whats with all these freezes? Or whats a good version of flash that doesn't suck?
I've been using Firefox and the Flash addon forever with no problems...not sure dude.

uninstall and reinstall flash and get an adblocker, most ad sites have garbage code and crash/have memory problems or some malicious aspect (intended or not). or use your routers parental controls to block ad sites like i do

first, use no script. blocks all scripts including flash, which is a good thing since almost all security breaches in browsers come from scripts ;)
and second, maybe you'd like to take a look at gnash (http://www.gnu.org/software/gnash/). still beta and maybe always will be, but it works good enough if you're not dependent on flash content.
but i think it could be rather hard to compile it on windows :D

You might want to try the 64 bit IE explorer without flash. Seems pretty stable to me. No 64 bit flash yet but you can always call your old browser if you really need it.
