I have tried having vista installed quite a few times, and one issue that keeps popping up is some wierd lag that only happens in vista. And one of the applications affected by it is VLC player

Because I have oppened that playback menu in vlc the movie is now lagging crazy, if I close it the lag stops instant. If MSN makes a message "DUDE123 Have come online" It would also lag.

This also happens when I play WoW in window mode. But it dont seem like everyone have the problem, but as I have had it everytime I reinstall my computer I find it pretty strange and really annyoing.

I am really not sure what causes the lag, but it seems like its vista but I just hope someone knows a fix

Here is a few more screenshots first one is lagging like crazy second is running smooth and there its the start menu being open that causes it

Didnt help, still lags, and I do use the newest drivers. And would not make much sense either as you can see on the first screenshot that there I do not have teh start menu open but VLC still lags.

I am running 32bit (And I never need 4Gb so it do not really matter) I have driver issues in 64bit with my Auzentech Prelude soundcard
