im trying to mod my PSU with a 120mm blue LED yate loon fan.
the yate comes with three wires. red black and yellow. and is a 3 pin plug.
the stock fan comes with 2 wires. black and red. and is a 2 pin plug. how do i mod the wires to make this work?

solder black from fan to black on PSU connector, and red from fan to red on PSU connector. The yellow wire is a tach sensor wire that tells the motherboard or fan controller the RPM that the fan is spinning at. The fan should work fine if you wire only the red and black to the original PSU connector.

ya try it and lemme know how it works. Leave enough yellow wire so you can reverse what you cut If you need to though. Cheap insurance
