I bought a Vista 64 OEM disk. It looks like there is a pretty heavy scratch on the edge of it. Thing is, I don't have all the pieces to my new system just yet so I cant check its install ability ( I'm scared to try on this computer. I'm already having troubles with it. If I try to install Vista, I think it will screw me over).
The guy said he'd replace it but I'd rather be sure before I go through the headache.
Is there a way to test if the DVD is good without installing it? Sometimes scratches don't actually mean anything and they install just fine (I have a sims 2 disk thats like that).
