So I've been talking with XFX support, and we have been trying to trouble shoot the problems I've been having with this card.
Due to the nature of online tech support, the process is painstakingly slow. XFX is not to blame, but my message to XFX support began about a month ago, and I have no solution. Once again, I'm not blaming XFX.
So my problem is, some games show artifacting when using certain shaders, and Directx10 runs horribly... though this is not nearly the biggest problem.
Today for the third time while watching a video in windows media player, the player randomly became full of organized artifacts as well as the area immediately bordering the mouse. Predictably not short after the computer crashed and restarted.
I'm a just looking for a faster solution.
I would take screen shots, but my computer typically crashes at the first sign of artifacting. The computer runs cool, and the card is not overclocked.
My ticket number is 194845.
