Just installed the bundled SupremeFX X-Fi card that came with my REII board.

Sound output is really low under Vista x64. I have all sliders to MAX 100% and its still way too low for me? Is this just the crappy nature of this add-in card or am I missing something?

Connected via my front panel to HD output on card.

:)

Shouldn't be that low. Most all onboard solutions with the higher end boards (which are actually separate cards) are about as good as the full fledged soundcards.

How low is too low btw? And are you on speakers or headphones? I wouldn't expect more than 80-90dB in general (that's waaay to loud for me) but I guess if you're looking for crazy-loud it might end up being a bit soft.

Oh, and I know with my Commando I had to set HD front panel in BIOS (vs AC97), that might have an effect too if you have the same thing

Must be a 'heap of crap' card as I can't get it to output any more sound, will grab another :)
