Anybody else notice the freaky desktop/GUI that EEE PC's with Linux come with? I played around with one and was shocked to see something so stripped down. It was a lot like the ExpressGate on Asus motherboards. Odd choice.

It's true, the xandros desktop is very stripped down. to fix a problem on my granma's eee i want to use the console. It's nearly impossible.
Oh, the external cdrom is not /dev/cdrom, but /dev/D:
And it's single-user too, and afaik, you can skip the passwd request by pressing 'esc' (yes, like windows 95/98)

PS: I know, my english sucks (i am italian)

Xandros lasted under 24 hours on my Eee before I installed XP.
