I currently have a Lite-On LH-20A1L. Lately, I've noticed that it has stopped reading all kinds of disks. However, BIOS still sees the drive and Windows does as well. When I insert any disk, it just makes a spinning noise for a few seconds while it lights up, and then stops. No autoboot CD and no read.
On the other hand, it does seem to burn CDs/DVDs just fine...I burned a DVD yesterday and all was in order.
I already tried cleaning it and updated the firmware.
What could be the problem? Anything I could do to fix it and make it read CDs again? Thanks for the help.
