OK so it was getting late and i needed sleep. So i did a quick defrag and surfed the net for around 10mins. I then decided to turn the PC off . SO i went to the start menu and clicked the shiny red off button. But hey i forgot that just puts my PC into sleep mode.
So i quickly click the mouse button to revive it and shut it down properly. Nothing happens. I then notice my G9 mouse has gone dead, all the LEDs are off and no response at all.
Nothing coming up on screen. So i tap the keyboard a few times. Nothing happens....
So i try the mouse on my other PC just to make sure it's ok. Works fine. Humm weird.. So i decided to just rebooted the pc. Nothing happens. PC comes on, one LED on my keyboard lights up and that's it. Monitor is still on stand by and my mouse is still dead in the water.
Now i've read on a few vista forums that out of date drivers for USB mouses and things can make this happen. But to stop it from even booting up, not even into BIOS? WTF is going on. I've pulled the ram out and tired one in at a time. Nothing. I duno if it has anything to do with the defrag before hand? It was a brand new HD! I only built this baby four days ago.... It has to be a hardware problem right? No way could windows fu*k it up this bad . Well i wouldn't be surprised...
Need some help guys, also sorry for the long post :(
