I had to re-install Vista on my new Hard Drive. Now when I try to set the default program as VLC to play all of my MP3s I check the box to make it so it will be it all the time.

However when I click browse to navigate to VLC I can get to it and click "open" but nothing happens and it never shows up. I just starting having this problem. I have had it work with this OS for a long time and just now it does not work. Anyone know why?

I can open others programs for it to launch my songs out of but VLC wont work. When I switch HDDs with Vista on it then VLC works fine.

Apparently the latest version of VLC has a lot of problems. So I just found a site that had older versions and got one. Works like a charm now.
