ASUS VH242H [TN]
ASUS VW246H [TN]
HP Pavilion w2448hc [TN]
LG Flatron L245WP [P-MVA]
LG Flatron L246WP [P-MVA]
LG Flatron L246WH [TN]
LG Flatron L246WHX [TN]
LG Flatron W2442PA [TN]
Samsung SyncMaster 2493HM [TN]
Samsung SyncMaster 2494HS [TN]
Samsung T240 / T240HD [TN]
What are your recomendations?

I was in the same boat but finally I opted for the ToC 240.
The HDMI for PC is annoying, 'cause I keep getting this message on the screen about 1920x1200 and must set right............but my guess is because HDMI supports 1900x1080 only and I was also using a HMDI to DVI cable.

Thanks. Do you use it with a PS3 (or a XBOX360)?

I don't have my T240 connected to a gaming console unit but I've watched a few HD streaming tv shows from NBC, ABC and they all look great, the image quality is amazing.
Although if you're going to plug one of those gaming console units? Why not a 28" monitor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824254026
I almost bought that one but the space on my desk wasn't that big........or how about a 24": http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2010190020+1309823867&Configurator=&Subcategory=20&description=&Ntk=&SpeTabStoreType=&srchInDesc=

Samsung T260 seems good, but I don't know if it will be too big. The display will be for the PS3 and for my PC..

I hook my ps3 to 2 different monitors. A 226BW samsung and now a new 19" Acer that does 1680X1050. They both work great at 1080p and neither of them has a hdmi port. Just use a hdmi to dvi cable. Simple and easy.

What about the Acer G24?
OK, the orange bezel isn't exactly 'understated'. But it's a great monitor.

And totally unnecessary for a gaming monitor.

If you can find the LG 245/246, I'd get that immediately. Decent input lag, and not a TN make it a good value.

I tell you, I got this 26"lcd LG from newegg.com for 359.00+free shipping while it was still on sale and for a TN panel its the best of its kind.

No back light bleeding at all, even with brightness at 100 percent and viewing angles from bottom to top dont have that typical problem where the top portion of the screen appears to be darker than the bottom portion. This thing puts my old Samsung 2253bw TN to shame as it suffered some back light bleeding and less than impressive viewing angles from top to bottom!
Its very well balanced in viewing angles for a TN, about as good as one could be expected to get and the blacks are extremely black and impressive looking. I could not be happier with my new toy as I feel like I got it for a steal of a price!

Thats true but when the complaints are legit then its fair warning to the potential buyer who is about to spend his or her hard earned cash.

So far I like my T260 got it locally for a little cheaper because someone returned it and didn't even open the box. BTW it does do HDCP over DVI you don't have to use the HDMI for PC. Didn't have any problems with HD-DVD/Blueray disks which is the main reason I upgraded from my Dell 2405.

If you can deal with the fact that it is recertified, this is a great monitor for what you are looking to do

I bought the same monitor locally for $350 back in Feb' and the only problem I have ever had with it is that the HDMI audio out is a inconvenient spot since my monitor sits right on my desk which faces the wall, but a 3' extension cable fixed that.

To many 22" LCDs that are brand new in that price range to consider a recertified one, or at least thats the way that I see it.

I'm guessing he didn't put in the leg-work to locate those coupons. You know, back then Dell actually had plenty of coupons available (the good old days).

Not sure the exact price, I believe I did have a coupon but being in Texas there are taxes.

That is the best 24" for gaming, fastest response time / input lag...
