Ok I'm trying to build a server for my uncle kinda have no experience on this matter i always build Gaming PC's for ppl but this is something new Soo yeah any help any advise?
btw budget around 2500$
right now surfing newegg reading what ppl have to say about server motherboards
is there a guide some were i can read about this?!

if your looking for dual socket solution then go with a nice tyan or smicro 5400 chipset I think.

you might be better off getting a WS i7 board and going that direction though

its for a company so I'm guessing storage and data back up customers/employ database access maybe WAN access i don't know maybe DNS for there web page i will ask more and get back to you.

ah so you are looking for large scale stuff here.

your going to need a board with many PCI-X slots for raid expansion of data storage... let me see what I can find on ze interwebz


EDIT: well I have just re-familiarized myself with current hardware and I think this motherboard will be great for what you want. I have used it and its a breeze to work with, everything functions perfectly and its rock solid stable.

Ok like i said before but they need it to be a rack How can i make this happen any idea's?! >.< kinda lost i dont see Rack case's online only full built models
and where can i find i7 Server duel socket motherboard is LGA 1771 i7!?

for how many users?
how much storage will be/ is required?
will that included a website?
will that purchase/ budget include a os? any preferences?
