Hey....
I finally got my Core i7 setup working yesterday after having trouble with memory, now I'm having trouble getting SLI to work.
I installed everything, put the two GTX 260s in PCI-E x16 slot 1 & 2, the correct slots for SLI (only slots that dual slot cards will fit into anyway). I connected them with the SLI bridge and installed drivers...... no option for SLI in nVidia CP. The second card shows up in nVidia CP, GPU-Z, Rivatuner..... I can change the speed/clocks of each card in Rivatuner. One interesting thing though, while the top card (PCI-E x16 slot 1) shows the correct PCI-E x16 2.0, the bottom card shows PCI-E x16 1.0. I have no idea why that is.
I have tried both cards seperately in the top slot and both work fine. I have tried a card by itself in the bottom slot and it worked fine, and displayed PCI-E 2.0 x16 like it should. However, when I tried to add the top card (with bottom card connecting to monitor) there is no display. Connect the monitor to the top card, and there is display but there is the same crap.... the option for SLI doesn't show up and the 2nd card reads PCI-E 1.0 x16.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Specs are:
CPU - Core i7 920
RAM - 6GB G.SKILL DDR3-1333
Mobo - Asus P6T Deluxe
Video - 2x EVGA GTX 260 C216
PSU - Corsair TX750 750W
Thanks for any help.
[UPDATE]I was able to get SLI working after updating the BIOS to the latest version.... don't ask me what effect that had but it now works, hopefully it stays that way.
