Hi,

I just installed my brand new Asus Xonar HDAV1.3 Deluxe audio card!
But after installing the latest drivers, it asks me to insert the 4-pin molex power cord to the back of the card, which I've done.. But upon every start-up of Windows it keeps claiming that the power is unplugged?!

I've tried with 7-8 different 4-molex connectors, I've tried to switch from PCI-Express x4 to PCI-Express 16x slots etc.. But nothing seems to be working?

Any idea what may cause this? Any solution?

Wow you get around. Seen this post on a few forums now.

Does the card still function with the new Beta drivers even though it says you have no power attached?
anyway,
Remove the latest drivers and install the original ones where the card functions. Then verify everything is working as it should. This will isolate between a bad card or a driver glitch.
Based on what you have written I would say it is a driver glitch with your particular hardware configuration. I cannot say for sure.
If everything is good with the original drivers. leave them installed and you will have sound until you can find a fix that allows you to move to the new Betas. Contact ASUS tech support and/or check their support forums.

Actually it was fixed by adding a 4-pin adapter that followed with one of my Noctua fans, seems like the Corsair molex connectors are too short for some reason?

You weren;t actually getting power from the shorter connector pins? -Atelast you got it fixed. Enjoy.
