Is it possible to run 4870x2 in the 2nd slot on X58 mobo?

I'm considering this layout because I would like to use the 88GTX for PhysX. The problem is, will I be able to use the x2 as my primary card or will the nV drivers keep overriding the x2 because it's in the first slot? Does anyone have experience using ATi cards as their primary and nV card for PhysX?

Any suggestions?

Not right now. microsoft only alows 1 video driver in the OS.

Hmm ok, what if I replace the 88GTX with a high end PCIe Intel NIC instead, would using the x2 in 2nd slot affect performance?

I think this is for Vista only, i seem to remember something on TPU about using geforce and radeon together, i think it had to be xp though.
