will supremefx xfi work on another mb

hi
i have got hold of a supremefx xfi soundcard from a rampage formula
i have tried putting it in an asus p5q pro p45 mb
i have tried pcix x1 and x16 slot but the pc wont detect the hardware i have also disabled my onboard sound to see it will detect it as onboard but it still wont show
any ideas would be greatfull

Nope. The SupremeFX cards only work in the slot made for them. Now on the other hand, other cards will work in the slot. My Xonar DX is in the slot made for the FX on my Rampage Formula.
