Ok this is really odd. I'm gonna get a q6600 from this dude tomorrow and he told me he got it march 07. Here's the thing. The guy's a total klutz at this stuff, doesn't know what a g0/b3 is, so i got him to check out the product code. He said it's a SLACR.

I googled out many links and it appears to me like g0s didnt start appearing until after july? Like in XS and other forums, i don't see anyone who claimed to have a g0.

So I'm kinda confused. I thought there weren't any g0s like pre-july period. I doubt if he was lying about it also. Any thoughts

SLACR is the G0 stepping; if it was a B3 it would be SL9UM.

Yea i found out.. but does it seem odd that a q6600 bought in mar07 could be a g0? It just seems a little weird to me

It doesn't seem weird because it's impossible - G0s weren't released until late April 2007. He's probably just mistaken.
