I just thought of doing this: I have currently 2x2GB sticks of g.skill PC8500 ram that is working great in this P5Q-SE PLUS motherboard. I also just sent out my 2x1gb sticks of ballistix PC8500 for an RMA, and the computer then came out of, wont need them anymore, and was wondering if installing them in this PC for a total of 6GB of ram would work OK? Would I still have Dual Channel mode enabled? 1st bank will have the 2x2gb sticks, 2nd bank will have the 2x1gb sticks. SAme speed ram, same voltage ram, so will there be any performance hit, or maybe a slight performance gain?
