Since my P4C800-E is being RMA'd, i was thinking of powering up the Prommy Mach2 and using my Non-Contact Laser sighted infra-read thermometer to measure a few temps on the evap head and the heater element :)

Is there any precautions i may need in powering up the Mach2 with the heater element's power plugged in, but no board ?

Anyone measured the inner side of heater element's temps ? I know the outside plastic temps range from 66-84C according to my infra-red thermometer but what's normal for inside temps on the heater element ?

well a thermo gun.
isnt too great on measuring the evap.most will not go down low enough to do any good.

but i have run a few not connected to a board and it will not hurt it in the least.
