My Fonts Look Horrible! How to Fix?

Hi Folks,
I'm online on my new system, and it has Vista 64 Ultimate, but my fonts look horrible. At some sites they look OK, and my Windows fonts look OK, but forum fonts are very difficult to read.

I captured a screenshot of it so you can see it. Anybody know how to fix this. It's giving me a headache. i have to squint to read eventhough I'm on a 32" Widescreen LCD.

My fonts didn;t look like thios on my other machine running XP, so i assume this is an OS issue but I'm not real sure.

That was it. Don't know how it got changed. Thanks guys. I went into effects and set clear type. ASOmehow it got set to standard. It might've happened when I se Vista to performance mode for a bench. It might not revery back automatically. I'll keep my eye on that next time.

i got a problem with fronts also. my 3yr old son was up last nite clicking on my computer last nite while i was sleep and this what happened in ie and FF i tried to look for every setting but nothing changes it

msimax, in FF -> View -> Page Style -> clicky on Basic Page Style :)

Now for my other problem bear with me. I uninstalled L4D and my fonts especially my fonts in FF are fubard,
right now normal font is bold and what should be bold is in italic. It really does looks horrible, I want my Cleartype back with "normal" fonts.

Have you ever seen something like it, or how to fix it?

edit: A small clarification, when uninstallation was (un)completed 3 fonts where left behind: Arial, Arial Bold and Tahoma.
Now I don´t know what some dip thought when he "accidently" made a game move my fonts around.

Got it almost working still throws bold words in FF :(
