Guys, I need your help finding a case that has some really strict requirements. It must absolutely meet every requirement or I go with one of my 2 back up plans, which I'd really rather not do. The requirements are:
mATX I/O plate (meaning only 4 I/O places)
Can't be odd ball layout like H2gO or Li-Li V3xx series
Capable of taking a ATX PSU
Minimum of 3 5.25 drive bays
Horizontal MoBo tray (removable preferred/ permanent Mount acceptable)
Capable of holding a TRUE with no modding
Price should be $100 bones or less
Available in the US from a decent E-tailer/retailer
I really hope someone out there has a different source that I haven't scoured already, because from what I've seen, this case doesn't exist.

i think thats the 'killer' requirement.. all the other criteria are fulfill-able (is that a word? :p: ) - but a case that size (as it will definitely be a small case) would not hold a TRUE unmodded :(

NZXT Rogue. I have one already and would like to avoid having 2 of the same case if possible.

Actually, outside of the Rogue and Qmicra, I can't find anything else that even comes close for under $250, something always breaks the deal.

Ah.. yeah not really my style, I thought MM were designing one a while back (it was full atx). It had 2 120mm fans in the front.. it was rather nice.

Yeah, the reason I need 3 is I need 1 for optical, 1 for Kaze Master, and 1 for the HDD which is mounted in a set of Noiseblocker NB-X-Swing anti-vibration mounts. The drive is kind of noisy without them and that's a :nono:.

It does seem that this project is going to give me the proper motivation to finally break down and get an external drive. Sadly though, the biggest hurdle is still in the way, fitting a TRUE with a horizontal MoBo without modding. The cases that are added to the list by swapping to the external OD are the Microfly/X-QPack and all the clones, NSK1380 (newer version of the Aria), SG01, SG02, Fragbox (looks like a modified Silverstone), and VF 1000. I already have a X-QPack and an Aria, the Aria won't work at all thanks to it's simply awful layout and the X-QP needs some serious hacking and then it's still a question mark. I can say the same things about the MF (and clones) that I did about the X-QP and everything else on the list matches what I said about the Aria from the looks of it, so I guess I'm back to finding a case that apparently doesn't exist or one of my backup plans.
btw, backup plan #1 is go over the $100 limit (not something I'm really looking to do given current finances), in which case, the Rogue and Qmicra become viable options. #2 is to build from scratch, I've got a rough design in my head but it'd likely be more expensive than the Qmicra before I was done building it and I don't really need another project of that scope when I've already got 6 LC projects on the burners.
Hmm, during the writing of this post, I did some poking around and some of it was on the egg. It seems they are tempting me and I don't really think I can say no...I found the Black/Blue Rogue for $110 and a decent HP external DVD burner, my CC is gonna hate me in the morning....then again, that spot welder at Harbor Freight is chanting my fraking name. GAH! :brick: I'm gonna have to think about this some more.

Or you could just ditch the Kaze master, get a fan controller like the t-balancer controller and squirrel it away somewhere else within the case. If you want an led display then you can get something like a Matrix orbital display and mount it right in front of your HDD and the silencing kit. This way you can get the fan controller, hdd and optical drive all in two drive bays. I know it may cost a bit of cash to replace the fan controller but this would mean you could use a a much cheaper case so it may turn out cheaper to do it this way. Would also save yourself fsome time from doing more difficult and time enduring mods.

t-balancer costs a fortune. it would be more worthwhile to just remove the dvd drive. im gonna remove mine from my case soon just because i rarely use it and i can connect it with a sata to esata cable and a sata to molex adapter and i have molex in the back of my case. cheap way to make external hdds and dvd drives.

Mmmm' yeah. . . .that's not gonna work for me, that's a bit..mm'....complicated for me, m'kay?.

+1 + I like really simple. I've seen a lot of discussion in the LC section about setting up that kind of stuff and...it gives me a such a big headache that I just avoid those topics now.

Update:
OK, So I ordered the black/blue Rogue from Newegg, unfortunately I hemmed and hawed over it so long that it actually cost me an extra $10 than it should have. :( Also picked up a decent external DVD burner that I can now use for all my comps making it a bit easier to build the 6 LC rigs already in process. While I was at it, I ordered 2 SFlex "G's for the TRUE and 3 UK2's for the case from Petra's...I don't think airflow is gonna be a problem.http://smilies.vidahost.com/contrib/ruinkai/FIREdevil.gif
OT: Newegg is a bunch of idiots. . . ...I noticed when I was buying the case that all the "case & MoBo" combo's for this case, included...full size ATX MoBo's.:ROTF::rofl:

lol i see that. thats stupid. btw how do the s flex Gs work? i have heard from many people that the G one is just way too loud. i ordered a few of them tho because i just get the fastest and throw it on my kaze master.

The Rogue is a nice case, but I don't qualify it as SFF......yeah it takes a mATX motherboard, but that thing is bigger in volume/size than some mid towers.

Your guess is as good as mine.. These are the first 25mm thick fans that weren't a YL of some kind that I've bought in a while. Seen some of the LC guys like them so I figured, why not?

Never actually mentioned any kind of SFF requirement, and I won't argue about the internal volume....it's absolutely massive inside for a mATX case. I fit a PA120.1 inside, on the CPU side door of the one I already have, and it can actually fit 2 PA120.2 if you get rid of the front USB ports and the HDD mounts on both sides.
