Hello everyone. I need some help finding solderpoints on my MSI GeForce 8400GS. By reading the post about the ASUS 8400GS I understood that you need to measure resistance between the FB and ground pin on the voltage regulator IC and then multiply it by 20 and solder a VR with that value between the two pins. On my card the IC is APW7067. Is that the regulator for the GPU voltage??? Here's a picture of the IC. Hope someone can help...

Hi, can you tell me which letter is written on the IC behind the "APW7067"?
If it's APW7067N you need to solder a VR between Pin4(FB) and Pin7(GND).
The thing about the VR size did you understand right, just make sure to measure resistance while the card is out of your sys :)

No problem. Let's see your results here :)
Btw, which VR size do you need, i guess 20k?

My dmm's battery is low, so I don't know for sure, but 22k should do. Btw i tried a pencilmod but it actually lowered the voltage and if i try to go furher it raises the voltage straight to 1.7v from 1.22 (If i measure at the correct point) Here's where i measured the voltage:
EDIT: I finally got the pencilmod to work. Here's the results from the overclock
Stock: 496/1250
Overclock(stock voltage): 600/1320
Voltmod(1.39v): 685/1370
The clocks can probably go further, but I will find out how far can they go tomorrow

Hey does anyone know how can I do a Vmem mod to the card???
EDIT: No need for that now. I just fried the card(shorted a cap):(:(:(:(:(
Just when I started to like it........:(:(:(
