R404 mods

Hi everyone :toast: Making my first post in this fine forum :banana:

I will soon do the R404a modifications to my Vapochill Classic and my MachII, so i have some questions regarding that.

A rather reliable source said that i should extend the Captube on the machII with 1m 0.7mm (0.028") does everyone agree with that?

I was also told that i need to add two fittings, one on the low side and one on the high side. Do they need to be of any specific kind? i have heard of schraeder-valves, but i do not know if thats a brand name or a specific kind of valves.

A nice picture showing where you have put the fittings and a simple "evacuate here", "fill here" instruction would be greatly appreciated :)

The true noob question: The high side, is that the line from the compressor, the condenser and all the way to the end of the captube? and the low side is the hose where the evaporated gas returns to the compressor?

Is there anything else you think i could do to improve the performance of my cooling? I have made a loadblock with a TEC that i hope i can use to finetune the amount of gas to fill it with.

well with some time you will find all your ansers in the sticky threads at the top of this area.prometia upgrade will have alot of you ansers.

Welcome McMurphy.

1.5M additional .028 on a Mach11 will get you in
the ballpark.

Shraeder is a brand name.. ask for shraeder-valves
and people know to what you are refering.

Kind of confusing tho with two different opinions on the captube lengt, is there any difference between the machI and II considering the captube to be added?

I looked at the link you posted Popcicle, am i right when i say that the red hose goes to the high side? and the blue to the low side? The blue seems to go to the factory fill, is that done the same way on the MachII ?

Im glad im not doing the mod myself.. i feel prety lost on most of these things :(. But i hope i can get some facts so i atleast can instruct the technician helping me.
