Slow 260/216?

[Befuddled]

Here’s the issue. I Recently purchased an XFX 260-216 Black Edition. Ran 3DMark 5 and the benchmarks weren’t all that much better then my old 8800 GTX (see below). Now I can accept that my entire system is probably bottlenecking the card but I still think I should be seeing better Bmarks. Any opinions?

I can't think of an answer for that one. Maybe memory bandwidth is crippling 05 from feeding the new card enough information. I haven't seen any benchmarks on a 939 socket with a 260. Try a game like Crysis and run the benchmark with each card. New games are much better at focusing on the card more than the rest of the system.
