Why not get an Abit NF7 and look around for some used HyperX BH-5 or Twinmoss BH-5 ram in the classifieds. Good combo and in your price range, anyway that's what I would do. :D

Better, I would say. What is it about the ultra 400 that makes you want to get it?

How about a 2x256MB of NON-A (rated 2-2-2) Kingston HyperX 3200 (KHX3200K2/512) memory that uses Winbond BH-5 chips?
http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=80092-9 - $66.50/256MB - buy 2

Agree with TheDude - while I like VIA the NF2 boards give much better value and performance for the $$.
If I weren't so broke or if my current stable of VIA boards weren't cutting it I'd definately go for the ABIT NF7.

Probably, seeing as though it is an nForce2 Ultra 400 motherboard...

Looks like the specs for the NF7-S Rev 1.x to me, I can guarantee that the NF7-S Rev 2.0 is an Ultra 400 motherboard, primarily because it officially supports a 200MHz FSB, and secondly because the newer ones say "Ultra 400" on the northbridge. :D
