Hey please help me here. My Prometia Mach2 wont start at normal. The display says +80 degrees. When I start the Prommy it is getting very cool, but still 80 degrees on the display.

What do I do?

Sounds like your temp probe may be broken. Apparently this is a common problem with Mach II's. I'll leave someone else to sort this out further (as I haven't had this problem, and therefore haven't paid much attention to threads relating thereof).

Do you get the alarm beep, or does the unit functional normally (except for the misread temp)?

there are no failure like "error code 2" or something like that. Just showning a temp at around 72-81+ degrees

But it is very cold. My problem now is that I cant use my PC with the Prommy cause it wont start :(

Ahh, well, don't worry, that's not a problem. Simply connect your power and reset leads from your case straight to your motherboard, ignoring the Prometeia ones (just tuck them away somewhere, you don't need them). When you press Power, the computer will boot up (so will the Prometeia). Hopefully, the compressor can start up quickly enough to prevent the CPU from heating up too much. If not, just press Del and wait in the BIOS until the BIOS temp reading starts to drop. At that point, you can boot up.

It's a little bit of a hassle, but it works. :toast: Enjoy the Mach II! (hope you get that LCD problem fixed)

Huh? Just boot up, go into the BIOS immediately, and wait. Once the temperature has peaked and it starts dropping, you can exit the BIOS and boot up, :stick: :toast:
